On the heels of our first successful diversity honors gala, we are proud to announce the date of the state’s premier business diversity awards event.
The event will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the BancorpSouth Conference Center in Tupelo, Miss. The Gala gives us an opportunity to do a couple of things. First, it allows us to celebrate, acknowledge and recognize those corporations that have distinguished themselves with their efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in our state. We have a number of deserving companies that we will honor for their efforts to make Mississippi a better place for us all.
Secondly, the gala gives us a chance to honor Mississippi legends that have given of themselves to make Mississippi the best it can be. Myrlie Evers-Williams was the first recipient of the ourMississippi Lifetime Achievement Award. We are in the process of choosing the next honoree.
Our guest speaker for the event will be a nationally renowned speaker that will wow attendees. New York Times best-selling author Stedman Graham was our last guest speaker.
We are also adding a Women’s Empowerment Conference the day preceding the corporate honors gala.
